Happy Birthday to the House of Ideas!

Tuesday was the big Marvel Comics 70th Birthday Bash, with comic shops across the country celebrating with store events. A few artists from our local Spokane Comicsmiths Guild were at Lightning Comics in Coeur d'Alene, ID for the event, drawing free sketches of Marvel characters for customers.

There was also raffles and giveaways of exclusive comics, a giant birthday cake, and Spiderman and Captain America showed up as well. :)

The whole thing was a lot of fun. My friends and I were there from 6-10 and were drawing pretty much the whole time. Unfortunately, I only got photos of a few of my sketches (there was a Shadowcat I was really happy with - wish I'd got a shot of that). I posted the few that I did get over on my My deviantArt Page and one of those is posted below.
