Hmmm... I Think I Just Saw A Pig Fly By.

The Seahawks are going to the Superbowl?!!! How awesome is that!!! I never thought I'd see the day come. I'm thinking I might have to actually watch the Superbowl this year. Wow.

So, the NW Andrology interview went great, and the guy even told me I interviewed really well! But he still has a few more people to see this week, so it's not a sure thing yet. I really hope I get it though - I wouldn't get any benefits, but the pay is decent, it's an 8 to 5 M-F week, and it's not retail....

Today was a very lazy Sunday. We slept in till almost 1pm, and have just been lounging around all day - me on the computer and drawing, and Jenny's been reading and playing videogames. We had thought about going into CdA, but we decided to put it off till tomorrow, so we can maybe get some Mexican food at Cafe Chulo and swing by Borders and see some peoples. We'll also pick up the Sunday classifieds and the dresser from Jenny's parents.

Arts & Crafts

There are all of these memes floating around Livejournal right now; it started with an Andi Watson Batgirl that got really huge, but I found out about that pretty late and didn't get in on that one. There are now (atleast) 3 - Superboy, Green Lantern and Warwolf, and I'm expecting more Titans to follow Superboy, and they give me something to draw, and I was particularly inspired with the Superboy one...

The current Superboy, Conner, came into being in the early/mid 90s, and bore all the horrible fashion scars of that period - so I thought "what if Conner had been created during the 80s instead, maybe even in 1986 following (or during) the original Crisis (Superboy Prime, anyone?).

Anyway, this is what came out of that idea. I just realized I should maybe redraw his clenched-fist hand holding a Rubiks Cube.....

The Odin contest ended today, and obviously I didn't get that done. I saw some of the entries that they've received so far, and they're really impressive - I'm glad I didn't rush mine and mess it up. I think it's going to be one of my many perpetual works-in-progress for a while....

So now I've got a couple more memes to scribble up, an Illustration Friday piece to do, and a couple of Draw-Offs (Juggernaut/Thing & Ultimate Iron Man/Iron Maiden), plus whatever else I can come up with. Should be kept busy for a while....

Fun & Games

I've (re-)started working on a Warhammer 40K army again, but this time I realized two things:

  1. I don't have any money to spend on a new army.
  2. I will probably never finish this army (maybe by the time the next edition of the game is released).

So, I should just take my time on this, making it the way I want and having fun converting and painting it one model at a time. I'm going to (strip & re-) paint my Sisters of Battle, adding in my Valhallans (converted into Stormtroopers), plus lots of other Inquisitorial stuff converted out of minis I already have. When I'm getting paid again, then I'll (maybe) buy some more. But not until everything else is painted, or I've played with it and atleast decided on an army list....

You'll NEVER finish a Warhammer army! I know this to be true because NO-ONE ever finishes a Warhammer army! There are always more miniatures to paint!

I miss you guys...
